Steps to Becoming a Certified Personal Trainer

INFOFIT and the BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA) are pleased to offer Professional Certification Courses as a Personal Fitness Trainer.  In British Columbia, the main certifying organization is the BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA).  While pursuing certification as a Personal Trainer, students will work with both organizations.  INFOFIT offers the courses, support, tutoring and practicum students require to successfully complete the exams required for certification.  The BCRPA is the organization that oversees the exams and certifications.  The organizations have been successfully linked for many years and, together, provide for everything a student will need.

There are 8 steps towards certification.  Once a student has successfully completed the first 5 courses and related exams, they will receive certification as a Registered Weight Trainer.  Successful completion of the final 3 steps earns students certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer.
