Offered In-Class (Vancouver or Burnaby) or internationally by distance based,Home Study, this introductory personal training fitness theory course is the first step towards obtaining certification as a Personal Trainer.

This fitness theory course is designed for individuals with no formal education in anatomy or physiology. You will learn: basic anatomy, physiology, exercise analysis, and the fundamental principles of strength and flexibility training.

Training BasicsThe second certification step

Personal Trainer Basics – Weight Room Instructor course focuses on developing practical personal training teaching skills required for designing introductory cardio, weight training and flexibility programs for yourself and your clients. The Personal Trainer Basics course is the second step required to becoming a Certified Personal Trainer.

This personal training course is offered in a classroom setting or through Infofit’s Home Study program.

PT ComprehensiveCertification Step #3

Recognized by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), Infofit’s Personal Trainer Comprehensive course is designed for anyone wishing to become an elite personal trainer. 

This course prepares you to successfully write National and International Personal Trainer Certification Exams forACE, ACSM, BCRPA, CPTN, NSCA and is available as an in class course or through home study.

CPR & First AidA Critical Step for Trainers

CPR and First Aid for Personal Training is the equivalent of Emergency First Aid and a certification from the Canadian Red Cross is issued upon completion. BCRPA registration requires a current AED CPR and first aid certification. Certifications such as ACE, ACSM and NSCA require you have a current AED CPR Certification only.

AED CPR and first aid courses are available separately for anyone doing certifications for ACE, ACSM or NSCA. AED CPR Level C is also available separately, if required.
